Roca expands into India

Conceived as a hub for architecture, design, and innovation, the gallery underscores Roca Group's commitment to the Indian market, housing both Roca and LAUFEN under one roof

As the eighth Roca Gallery worldwide and the first in India, the Delhi Gallery expands the global network of Roca Galleries and LAUFEN spaces across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, contributing to an international dialogue on sustainability, design culture, and innovation. Designed by the architectural studio Ultraconfidentiel, the Roca Delhi Gallery was developed around a concept inspired by the kaleidoscope, understood as a symbol of diversity and multiple perspectives. This conceptual reference translates into an architectural language characterized by clean lines, refined surfaces, and controlled illumination. Within this structure, chromatic interventions introduce shifts in perception, contributing to a dynamic atmosphere. Custom acrylic rod partitions act as chromatic filters that react to movement and light, lending rhythm to the space. Complementing these contemporary elements, handmade tiles produced by Indian artisans introduce a local dimension, connecting global design culture with regional craft traditions.

The Gallery showcases Roca’s bathroom solutions through a curated sequence of environments. The displays highlight the brand’s emphasis on design, technology, and innovation. The layout invites visitors to explore contemporary living approaches, from advanced ceramic technologies to integrated solutions that combine functionality and aesthetics. The office area maintains a balance between openness and precision, integrating natural light and artisanal touches. One floor of the building is dedicated to the LAUFEN space Delhi, which offers a distinct atmosphere compared to the main gallery. Characterized by a darker, more intimate palette, this area emphasizes the sculptural qualities and precision of LAUFEN’s collections. The result is a differentiated yet harmonious experience that presents the identities of both brands, underscoring their shared commitment to design excellence.

Roca Group’s presence in India began in 2006 through a joint venture with Parryware, becoming its sole owner in 2011. Currently, the Group operates in the country’s bathroom products sector, with seven manufacturing plants and a nationwide distribution network. From its headquarters in Chennai, Roca Group has invested in sustainability, technology, and design, combining global expertise with an understanding of Indian lifestyles. Its two brands, Roca and LAUFEN, collaborate with architects, designers, and educational institutions across the country. The space will host exhibitions, conferences, and professional gatherings that explore the evolving role of architecture and design in contemporary society.
