Itaca, a sensory journey

The new collection by Talenti and Carlo Colombo draws inspiration from Homer's epic poem to create a new outdoor experience

Talenti and Carlo Colombo renew their design synergy, creating a new outdoor collection that blends elegance, comfort and inspiration. Following the success of the Tressé line, with its clear references to the world of fashion, the collaboration between the high-end outdoor furniture company and the architect evolves with Itaca, a collection that draws its charm from mythology. Inspired by Homer’s famous work, Itaca evokes its symbolic values: return, hope and the desire for inner peace.

The collection thus becomes the representation of the fulfilment of an intimate and personal journey, a metaphor translated into its forms and materials. Not just a simple series of furnishings, therefore, but a true place of the soul, designed to welcome and offer rest, in a constant and harmonious relationship with the outside world.

The collection includes modular sofas and daybeds, armchairs, coffee tables, tables and chairs to create coordinated and complete environments in perfect Talenti style. The elements of the collection evoke the idea of movement and transformation of Homer’s journey, giving rise to ever-changing and dynamic compositions. It is a flexible design, in which the furniture can be arranged freely to create and personalise your own islands of comfort.

The collection is characterised by rounded profiles, as if shaped by the waves of the sea, which define the solid Accoya® wood bases, available in honey and rosewood colours. The same sinuosity is reflected in the marble and travertine tops that embellish the coffee and dining tables, enriching the settings designed for conviviality.

«Fully customisable, the Itaca collection stands out for its generous curves, which lend lightness and fluidity to the forms, inviting relaxation and comfort», explains Carlo Colombo. «The wood used for the structures adds warmth and naturalness, evoking a connection with the outdoor environment. The elegant and resistant marble is used as a decorative and functional element, enhancing the aesthetics and ensuring durability. Each piece is designed to tell a story of style and quality». Thus, Itaca becomes an authentic sensory journey for nautical, residential and hospitality environments, transporting the mind and imagination to new dimensions of experience.
