In the heart of India

Molteni&C inaugurates a new flagship store in Mumbai, the result of a partnership with Vivono Designs. An ode to excellence and the culture of living, bringing luxury and innovation to the pulsating heart of India, redefining contemporary spaces

A vibrant economic and cultural heart of India, Mumbai is a crossroads where tradition and modernity meet, and its emerging luxury market demands design that harmonizes global sophistication with local essence. In this dynamic scenario, Molteni&C makes a strategic move with the inauguration of its new flagship store in Mumbai, thereby strengthening its significant presence in India’s flourishing high-end design sector.

The initiative is the result of a strategic collaboration with Vivono Designs, a Mumbai-based company renowned for its ability to introduce international luxury brands. Vivono’s deep understanding of the local market, combined with its dedication to Italian craftsmanship, ensures a luxury experience for architects, designers, and private clients. The Mumbai flagship store is a carefully curated narrative journey through contemporary design. Inside, visitors discover works by luminaries such as creative director Vincent Van Duysen, Herzog & de Meuron, and Foster + Partners. The space embodies the brand’s philosophy, creating a welcoming and refined atmosphere that celebrates an elevated idea of living.

The exhibition opens with an outdoor area that blends elegance and nature, where furnishings by Vincent Van Duysen and Marta Ferri‘s Musco Outdoor rug create an atmosphere of sophisticated relaxation. An adjacent outdoor dining area, featuring Foster + Partners’ Arc table and Van Duysen’s Green Point chairs, combines architectural rigor with conviviality. The subsequent living areas are furnished with modular seating by Christophe Delcourt and contemporary designs by Vincent Van Duysen, enriched by luxurious rugs. Iconic pieces by Gio Ponti and Ron Gilad blend harmoniously, while the Hector bookcase defines the spaces.

Studio Klass’ Sincro sliding doors introduce a sophisticated kitchen, dominated by the Intersection island in natural stone and Van Duysen’s Atelier columns. This connects to another living area and a dining room, with Christophe Delcourt’s Lise table and Rodolfo Dordoni‘s Devon armchairs, ideal for relaxed conversations. The journey culminates in the Night Collection, an intimate sanctuary defined by Studio Klass’s Arial boiserie. Yabu Pushelberg‘s Theo bed is the centerpiece, flanked by delicate side tables. A private writing corner features the Aria desk and Monk chair. The experience concludes with the advanced Gliss Master Linear Doors walk-in closet system and the Baltimora island, creating functional and serene spaces.
