In harmony with the landscape

Pedrali furnishes the Mirage Chalkida City Resort, creating a continuum between architecture and the natural setting

Everything flows naturally at the Mirage Chalkida City Resort in Chalkis. The immersive experience in the setting of the Gulf of Euboea and the atmosphere of refined hospitality that extends from the architecture to the seafront of Agios Minas beach express a design concept that arises from the context to create an authentic synergy with the location. There is no discontinuity between the building, interior design and landscape, but rather a coherent balance between space, function and scenery. Following this concept, Pedrali fits into the environment with equal spontaneity, furnishing both the charming terraces and the common areas inside with style and comfort.

The brand’s collections reflect the ideals that inspire the resort: a discreet presence in continuous relationship with the surrounding natural elements. On the charming outdoor terrace, where guests can relax and dine overlooking the sea, with Mount Dirfys towering directly opposite, are Odo Fioravanti‘s Philía chairs, paired with Arki-Base tables: the colours and finishes echo those of the earth, sand and pebbles that dot the island; the shapes are minimal so as to allow light and wind to pass through, and allow the view to reach the water.

The Philía chairs are composed of an essential tubular steel frame, wrapped in a horizontally woven PVC ribbon that is handcrafted: a detail that gives the chair a tailored look, but also softness, while the central weave provides elasticity and resistance. This linearity blends perfectly with the design of Arki-Base – characterised by four rectangular steel tube legs – demonstrating how Pedrali collections, although the result of different creative signatures, always manage to dialogue harmoniously.

The same philosophy is replicated in the more intimate terraces of the bedrooms, pervaded by neutral and white tones, in line with the scenery of the Greek islands and their traditional architecture. The same colours accompany the Tribeca armchairs by Mandelli Pagliarulo that furnish these relaxation areas. Once again, the idea of lightness emerges, taking shape from the tubular frame combined with the elasticity of a vertically woven plastic profile. Tribeca thus reinterprets the classic 1960s steel woven terrace chairs in a modern key, drawing on Mediterranean tradition in both aesthetics and conviviality. The setting is completed by Patrick Jouin‘s Elliot tables, with their elegant silhouette and delicate, slender shapes.

The common areas are no less impressive and consistently reflect the guiding theme behind the resort’s design: an uninterrupted connection between indoors and outdoors. The restaurant has no walls, only floor-to-ceiling windows that create a continuum with the outdoor terrace and the horizon. it is therefore no surprise to find the colours of the earth and the golden beach applied to Sebastian Herkner‘s Stiel armchairs, with their sinuous profiles as if shaped by the wind, on the Arki-Base tables and on Victoria Azadinho Bocconi‘s Hevea planters – which create decorative and verdant partitions evoking a naturalistic picture.

Thus, the bar with its sculptural natural stone counter is accompanied by refined Jazz stools, in a harmony of inspiration and style.
