In Dubai, Ethimo's new outdoor vision

Downtown Design becomes the perfect showcase for Ethimo to recount its creative evolution and reveal its previews for 2026

A meeting point between creativity and innovation, art and design, craftsmanship and internationality, Downtown Design is a stage for experimentation and design, a reference point in the Middle East that promotes dialogue, synergy and relationships between professionals. Here, Ethimo has found the ideal setting in which to showcase its vision of outdoor furniture, always balancing contemporary style with tradition. The company is participating in the event by presenting a preview of its new 2026 collections, which perfectly interpret its philosophy: the harmonious encounter between nature and design, in a combination of weaves, precious materials and enveloping shapes for enjoying the outdoors all year round.

The style and sensory experience offered by his collections are therefore revived in Lodge, a line of furniture designed by Christophe Pillet that evokes the intimate and welcoming atmosphere of charming retreats surrounded by nature. Its upholstered elements – sofa, armchair, daybed and pouf – are generously sized to instil the same warmth and relaxed welcome: soft volumes in the intense, vibrant colours of the savannah are supported by a suspended tubular aluminium structure, available in a bright glossy finish. The collection is completed by a versatile coffee table with a top in marble, lava stone or matt aluminium. Lodge is designed to be admired from every angle: the rear of the various solutions features an elegant rhythm of aluminium “bands” that support the cushions, lending lightness and refinement to the overall design.

Among the new proposals for 2026 is the expansion of the Patio collection, created in collaboration with Studio Zanellato/Bortotto. Echoing the concept of the entire line, where nature is a constant source of inspiration along with a relaxed and enveloping mood, Ethimo offers a new combination for dining tables and coffee tables, both round and oval: the elegant base with its sculptural design – made of teak and wrapped in nautical rope in lagoon blue or light grey (a new monochromatic variant), usually combined with highly attractive textured surfaces such as marble, travertine or glazed lava stone tops – is now combined with the warmth of natural teak, arranged in geometrically precise slats. The lounge proposal, on the other hand, sees the addition of the club armchair, a solution with compact dimensions but capable of maintaining the distinctive cocooning approach characteristic of the collection.
