Elegance, quality and comfort according to Marac

The company presents its new range of upholstered furniture, which reflects its artisan spirit focused on modern living

Artisanal spirit, international appeal. This dualism defines the identity of Marac, a company that has transformed comfortable living into a comprehensive interior design project. Founded in 1969 as an artisan company specialising in high-quality upholstered furniture, Marac quickly became an industry capable of bringing together leading names in international design, while always maintaining its local DNA thanks to the skilled craftsmen of the Brianza district who give shape to its collections. First sofas and armchairs, then tables, chairs and furnishing accessories: Marac’s offering has grown in parallel with its natural evolution, both in terms of design and vision and creativity. Accompanying each new proposal is the desire to create furniture that brings harmony and beauty to the environment, but also comfort, flexibility and modernity, in line with the dynamism of contemporary living.

Solutions that generate emotions and, at the same time, constant interaction with those who experience them on a daily basis. The new Sovramonte and Owen sofas perfectly interpret these values: different in appearance, they share principles such as extreme modularity, maximum comfort and a minimalist design. Sovramonte is a project designed by Meneghello Paolelli and is part of the research and innovation process led by artistic director Enrico Cesana.

Defined by its essential design, Sovramonte is an extremely articulated modular upholstered furniture system (consisting of 12 elements, including 2 fixed sofas and 10 modular units), which allows for great compositional freedom and versatility. Each module is characterised by overlapping levels – the seat, backrest and armrest – designed as large cushions placed side by side for a soft and enveloping visual effect.

he backrests are equipped with a mechanism that supports the cushion and allows for greater relaxation. The removable side armrests can be replaced with practical support surfaces (available in brushed solid ash wood or lacquered MDF). A different expression of comfort is provided by the Owen sofa, designed by Enrico Cesana: an island of softness created by generous volumes in which the backrest and base merge into a harmonious whole.

Like Sovramonte, Owen is characterised by its modularity, which creates ever-changing configurations by combining different elements, customisable with armrests and coffee tables. The coffee table (with metal base and recycled glass top) expands the collection and integrates perfectly with the seat thanks to an elegant side “cut”. With its distinctive personality, informal yet refined, it combines functionality and formal sophistication, ideal for sophisticated residential spaces or environments dedicated to hospitality and workspaces. The precise design and cosmopolitan style that characterises the new proposals reflect the soul of Marac, constantly looking to the future of living through environments that speak of style and conviviality.
