Scavolini: from the bathroom to a total-look concept

Extensive modularity, distinctive details and architectural elegance. With its Stilo system, Scavolini responds to the evolution of the contemporary bathroom, extending its design language beyond the boundaries of this space

The bathroom remains at the heart of the interior design debate. Together with the kitchen, it is perhaps the domestic space that has undergone the most radical transformation in recent decades, with both its meaning and function being completely redefined. What was once simply a functional service area has evolved into a space devoted to intimacy and wellbeing – a personal, private “spa” within the home. Its aesthetic has consequently become more sophisticated, with increasing attention paid to materials, forms and colours, resulting in furniture and accessories that combine visual appeal with outstanding performance. The bathroom has become a space deserving the same level of design attention as every other room in the home. For this reason, the focus is increasingly shifting towards a coordinated design approach, where the kitchen, living area and bathroom form part of a unified concept, with a consistent style providing a common thread throughout the home. It is within this contemporary vision that Scavolini has developed a new project that enhances the role of the bathroom while establishing a dialogue with the rest of the home: Stilo, a furnishing system created in collaboration with Spalvieri & Del Ciotto.

Stilo takes shape through an essential yet sophisticated design language with a distinctly architectural elegance. Pure forms come together in a modular furnishing system that offers a wide variety of configurations, adapting to different spatial and functional requirements. Its defining stylistic feature is, fittingly, a cylindrical element: a graphic motif that traces vertical and horizontal lines throughout the collection, shaping handles, shelves, mirrors, lighting bars and accessorised elements. This detail is both a functional device and a decorative feature. It creates compositional patterns that bring rhythm and visual lightness to the system; when used as a handle, it provides a comfortable, ergonomic grip; visually, it introduces a harmonious contrast with the overall linearity of the design, adding a softer, more sinuous note. The effect is further enhanced by the Nero and Titanio finishes.

Stilo’s compositional freedom is expressed through its extensive modularity, encompassing shelves, supports and accessorised bars, as well as Vertical System wall panelling, which further expands the organisational possibilities within the bathroom. This versatility is enhanced by a broad selection of materials and finishes, including matt and gloss lacquers, textured decorative surfaces, laminates, Fenix NTM®, and metal-effect or pearlescent finishes, allowing the system to adapt equally well to modern, minimalist interiors or more decorative and sophisticated settings. The collection is completed by a range of coordinated accessories and complementary elements, including illuminated mirrors, accessory bars with integrated lighting, suspended elements and aluminium details, further enriching the overall design.

Stilo perfectly embodies Scavolini’s vision: to create a versatile and sophisticated system for the contemporary bathroom. Above all, however, it is designed to extend beyond the boundaries of this space. Its design language flows naturally into the kitchen, living area and home office without losing any of its distinctive identity. The result is a design narrative that runs throughout the entire home: a journey defined by stylistic coherence and recurring details that create a seamless sense of continuity.
