Design and fashion meet once again on the Louis Vuitton runway. For the Men’s Spring-Summer 2027 collection, designed by Pharrell Williams and staged at the Cité Internationale Universitaire in Paris, the house brought in Extrasoft, the modular seating system by Piero Lissoni for Living Divani. It marks the second collaboration between the French Maison and one of the Italian brand’s bestsellers. The show builds a narrative in which surfing moves beyond sport, becoming a way of life. A world shaped by freedom, movement and constant exploration unfolds across a landscape of dunes, with a silver caravan at its centre – a travelling refuge, emblematic of a nomadic existence paced by the rhythm of the ocean. Within this setting, Extrasoft finds its place as part of the scenography. More than a furnishing element, the system helps define the atmosphere of the installation, interpreting an idea of living that is fluid and ever-evolving, where comfort coexists with a desire for exploration and domestic spaces take on a more open, mobile dimension.
Designed by Lissoni, Extrasoft is one of Living Divani’s bestsellers, defined by a design language rooted in modularity, soft volumes and compositional freedom. These qualities allow it to adapt seamlessly to different contexts, from residential interiors to contract spaces, as well as temporary installations such as this Paris runway setting.
Its inclusion in the collection’s narrative underlines the increasingly central role of design within the contemporary fashion system. Furniture is no longer simply a supporting element of the set, but a device capable of shaping the perception of space and contributing to the overall experience of the show.
