La Redoute in Milan

The French e-commerce company opens its first showroom in Milan on Via Leopardi. Designed for professionals as well as a wider audience, the space consolidates the brand's presence in Italy

Born in France as a mail-order company at the end of the 19th century, La Redoute has evolved to become one of the leading international players in the e-commerce sector. The company is now consolidating its presence in Italy—a market considered strategic since the launch of its online platform in 2016—with the opening of its first showroom in Milan at Via Leopardi 26. The location is in one of Milan’s most representative areas, just a few steps from the central Piazza Cadorna, a crucial city mobility hub and a gateway to the heart of the city.

The space, designed by Studio Nomade Architettura, is conceived as a hybrid environment that combines showroom areas and offices. It spans two levels: the ground floor, which overlooks a garden housing the outdoor collection, and an upper floor where original architectural features, such as brick walls and vaulted ceilings, have been preserved. The project’s intent is to create an atmosphere closer to that of a home than a traditional retail space—a place designed for meeting and discovering products.

Inside the showroom, the collections of the group’s two furniture brands are presented: La Redoute and AMPM. The La Redoute brand is characterized by a versatile style with pops of color. Featured products include the Nuria modular sofa, the multifunctional Mathéo wardrobe-desk from the Les Ingénieux line, and the Holi ceramic and glass lamps. AMPM, on the other hand, offers an aesthetic based on clean lines and a focus on materials. Examples include the Rosebury sofa designed by Emmanuel Gallina, the Sven armchair with its metal and woven rattan frame, and the Maria coffee table, made with handmade ceramic tiles.

The opening of the Milan space, managed by the Italian branch established in 2023 and led by Loredana Fartade, is part of the brand’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the country. The showroom is open by appointment and caters to both industry professionals and private clients.
