Erica and the outdoor evolution

The collection designed by Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia expands with new elements that give shape to a complete system for enjoying the outdoors in any setting

There are pieces that mark an evolution, that create a model of style and living. Furniture that becomes iconic, capable of standing the test of time and remaining timeless thanks to an innovative vision, both in terms of aesthetics and functionality. The Erica collection by B&B Italia is one such piece. Since its debut in 2017, it has added a new dimension to outdoor living, elevating the functional design typical of outdoor products to an experience of total comfort.

The collection designed by Antonio Citterio has helped define an increasingly relevant concept of the outdoors as an extension of indoor spaces. The credit goes to its aesthetics, characterized by formal lightness and attention to detail, and its wealth of elements that create complete, decorative settings capable of satisfying multiple living needs.

The collection is distinguished by its wide range, which over time has embraced a growing number of solutions, maintaining the same stylistic philosophy and design consistency: an elegant weave that defines the aluminum structure and a soft, welcoming design that lends itself to furnishing both residential and contract contexts.

There are different types of sofas—linear, curved, modular—that allow you to create multiple modular compositions, alongside chaise longues, daybeds, armchairs (also with high backs), sun loungers, chairs, dining tables, and coffee tables (with elegant tops in natural teak or fused glass).

New for 2026 is the introduction of linear and curved sofas with high backs, designed to offer superior comfort and an even more welcoming seat. Added to these is the sofa that originates from the combination of two curved elements, ideal for promoting socializing and conviviality thanks to its particularly enveloping shapes. The range is completed by a series of coffee tables in different finishes.

The formal richness of the collection finds a perfect parallel in the range of finishes: cream white, aquamarine green, and olive bronze, in addition to the classic anthracite and dove gray for the structures; beige, hay green, anthracite, and dove gray for the weaves. The fabrics come in numerous stripe and solid color variations that can be coordinated with each other, designed for outdoor use and to ensure durability and comfort.

The result is a comprehensive program that caters to all the different uses of outdoor furniture: from terraces to swimming pools to gardens, in private residences or hotels—according to Antonio Citterio’s vision. Erica thus becomes the perfect representation of the concept of system, which has always been part of the company’s DNA.
