Giorgetti changes hands: Alsara, Solida, and Vivium acquire the brand

Iconic design brand acquired: Alsara, Solida, and Vivium take over from Progressio SGR, targeting global expansion while maintaining the high quality of Italian design

The Italian luxury design landscape has witnessed a significant change of guard: Giorgetti, the iconic Made in Italy furniture brand, has been acquired by a consortium comprising Alsara Investment Group, Solida Capital, and Vivium. The deal, finalized on September 25, 2025, marks the exit of Progressio SGR, the private equity fund that has guided the company since 2015, and the entry of new capital and expertise with the primary goal of accelerating the brand’s global expansion. This new chapter is built upon a shared vision among the new shareholders, focused on the values of design, craftsmanship, and luxury that have always distinguished Giorgetti. The current management team, led by CEO Giovanni del Vecchio, remains firmly in place, ensuring strategic and operational continuity.

Alsara Investment Group, founded in 2017 by Rachid Mohamed Rachid, brings to the table extensive experience in investing in creative industries, with a particular focus on the luxury sector. The group boasts a diversified portfolio ranging from fashion to furniture, accessories to jewelry, demonstrating a deep understanding of the target market. Alia Rachid, Managing Director of Alsara and Founder of FROMM., a creative hub with roots in Milan and the Middle East, has expressed the group’s commitment to «continue investing and consolidating our presence in Milanese luxury furniture brands, fostering their growth through dialogue with the best talents internationally.»

Solida Capital, a private asset management platform specializing in the creation, structuring, and management of private equity and real estate club deal transactions, offers investors direct access to high-profile investment opportunities. Jean Aboumrad, Founding Partner of Solida Capital, emphasized the group’s pride in acquiring «Giorgetti, a brand recognized internationally for its timeless design and extraordinary craftsmanship.»

Vivium, a single-family office founded in 2017 by Lebanese-French entrepreneur Elie Khouri, manages a select portfolio of investments in the design, collectibles, art, real estate, hospitality, and venture sectors. Elie Khouri, Founder of Vivium, stated enthusiastically: «We are excited to join Giorgetti’s century-long journey, a brand that represents not only a benchmark for the sector, but also an icon capable of expressing unparalleled heritage, beauty, and craftsmanship.»

The transaction marks an important handover, with Progressio SGR having played a crucial role in transforming Giorgetti into an internationally renowned group. Now, with the entry of Alsara Investment Group, Solida Capital, and Vivium, a new horizon opens for the brand, with the aim of consolidating its leading position in the high-end design sector through targeted investments in excellence, innovation, and internationalization.
