Ginori 1735: Mehdi Benabadji is the new CEO

The executive has more than two decades of experience at Kering Group, the Florentine manufacturer’s parent company since 2013

Ginori 1735 announces the appointment of Mehdi Benabadji as its new chief executive officer. A leading figure within the Kering Group, Benabadji officially takes the helm of the historic Florentine manufacturer after serving as its interim CEO in 2019. He follows a period of strong development for the brand, which in recent years has consolidated its international presence as a reference in design and high-end porcelain.

A graduate of ESSEC Business School, Benabadji began his career in 1995 as a consultant and then entered the luxury world, where he gained extensive experience in strategy, industry and management. In 2003, he joined Kering, where he gradually assumed positions of increasing responsibility until he was appointed Chief Operations Officer of the Group. In this role, he oversaw industrial and logistics activities worldwide and made a significant contribution to the operational efficiency of the luxury giant.

He has been at the helm of Brioni, a historic men’s tailoring brand, since 2020, having previously led its strategy and development when it was acquired by Kering in 2011. His work has contributed to the repositioning of the brand and its international relaunch.

Ginori 1735 has represented Italian excellence in porcelain production for more than three centuries, combining traditional craftsmanship and innovation. As part of the Kering Group since 2013, the brand has been able to transform itself into a lifestyle house offering tabletop collections, art and home objects, gifts, lamps, furniture and textiles, crystal, cutlery and hospitality projects thanks to the Cafè Ginori concept.
