The Persian legacy you can touch

From Sahrai Milano, in via Manzoni, “Saharai Senses“: an experience designed by Reality is__ that brings the magic of the Persian carpet to life through all the senses.
Sahrai Milano transforms its showroom on Via Manzoni 38 with “Saharai Senses“, a total immersion into the world of carpets. Forget the usual exhibitions: here you feel the Persian tradition! The installation, open during Design Week (April 8-13) and visitable until May 30, is a true journey through Sahrai’s 200-year history, a mix of ancient roots and a forward-looking vision. Reality is__, a London-based design studio, has created an experience that takes the visitor by the hand, inviting them to discover the magic of the carpet in a completely new way.

The scent of rose guides you on a sensory exploration: the showroom is unrecognizable. The environment has been completely redesigned to enhance every detail of the experience. At the center, an “Infinite Carpet” that comes to life with incredible videos, unveiling breathtaking carpets: from ancient pieces, jealously guarded by the Sahrai family for generations, to the new Parsa, made with super innovative techniques and precious materials. But the highlight is a very rare 19th-century Heriz, a treasure never seen before, even commissioned by a Persian king. A unique piece, with a fascinating story to tell.

The experience continues with the “Secret Chai Room“, where the traditional Persian tea ceremony allows you to experience firsthand the legendary hospitality of this culture. And finally, in the “Chroma Gallery“, you witness an explosion of colors: an AI-enhanced video projection that enhances every thread of the carpets, revealing shades and details that would otherwise escape you.
