Soft fibers that warm the spirit, and gentle, frosty colors like frost-covered landscapes, unite the rugs from Mamounia, 6th Gen, and Noor Collections, which form Sahrai’s Winter Selection. Inspired by Berber rugs, the Mamounia collection is a woven portrayal of the tribal floors of North Africa.
Its distinct creation process involves handcrafting by tribal artisans residing in the Atlas Mountains of northern Morocco. This results in rugs with simple yet enveloping designs, ranging from geometric patterns to more freeform shapes, always in neutral tones to enhance their rustic look. These wool rugs bring a bohemian allure to modern interiors. Such creative freedom is evident in the 6th Gen collection—named so as it was designed by the sixth generation of the Sahrai family.
