Luxury meets creative avant-garde

With the 2024 collection, Illulian has strengthened its identity in the luxury design sector, redefining the boundaries of creative expression through carpets

In the world of luxury rugs, Illulian has confirmed itself as an undisputed leader thanks to the 2024 collection, building a bridge between art, tradition, and innovation. Throughout the year, the Milanese brand introduced a series of carpets that, through collaborations with renowned designers, embodied the essence of avant-garde design. One of the most anticipated developments was the collaboration with famous designer Karim Rashid, resulting in the Ki, Ether, and Info models. The Ki carpet stood out with an abstract design of powerful magnetism, enriched by a geometric pattern that plays with vibrant, contrasting colors like neon yellow on a black background, creating an optical illusion of movement. Ether and Info, on the other hand, were presented in new shades, maintaining the distinctive features of geometric motifs that suggest dynamism and depth.

The brand expanded its offerings with Astratto, a piece conceived by the duo Draga & Aurel and inspired by the work of Aurel K. Basedow. This carpet, composed of four interconnected elements, reflected the vitality of colors and pictorial layers, offering a visual experience that can be adjusted according to personal taste. Symi and Tatam, created in collaboration with Ferruccio Laviani, further explored the boundary between art and design. Symi depicted, through fluid lines, the convergence between tradition and technological innovation, while Tatam revisited the simplicity of the Berber rug with a design evoking a dreamlike and three-dimensional world.

Innovation and tradition also merged in the Orbis carpet, created in collaboration with the emerging brand MC+. Designers Mattia Biagi and Cardenio Petrucci drew inspiration from desert landscapes to create a piece that celebrates the stylistic heritage of Made in Italy design. Simone Guidarelli‘s work, Exotic Jungle, transformed lush nature into a carpet that evokes tropical exoticism. The intricate fantasy of plants and animals, and the chromatic quality of vegetable dyes, made this model a masterpiece of craftsmanship and creativity.

Like all Illulian rugs, these new offerings are part of the Limited Edition and feature traditional handmade craftsmanship. Available in two qualities, Platinum 120 and Gold 100, each piece exemplifies artisanal mastery and offers uncompromising customization options through the Custom Made service.
