Actiu and cool working

The Spanish company has developed a new design methodology to create high-performance office spaces

At the Hábitat event in Valencia, Actiu presented novelties and concepts aimed at the office world, an area to which the brand based in Alicante has been dedicated for over 50 years. Versatile and flexible collections to furnish receptions, halls, meeting rooms, work and meeting areas, and even outdoor spaces.

Notable is the Meetia seating collection by RamónEsteve, which includes armchairs and sofas with minimal elegance combined with comfort and functionality. The variety of textures, finishes, and sizes gives it great versatility for both contract and private environments: its distinctive feature is the perimeter steel structure that provides an elegant touch. Equally important, the use of sustainable materials and modular design allows for easy replacement and maintenance of Meetia’s components, guaranteeing long durability.

Sustainability is indeed one of the core values for the brand, along with industrial design and the pursuit of well-being through its products. To bring these criteria together into a single “manifesto” capable of meeting the needs of the contemporary workspace, Actiu developed a unique methodology in collaboration with the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia.

It is called “Cool Working,” a dynamic support process that enables understanding customer needs and providing innovative and sustainable solutions for High Performance Spaces. Focusing on the physical and emotional well-being of people in their interaction with the environment, Cool Working combines well-being and performance in offices.

A high-performance office is thus a space that offers environments for dialogue, where ideas can flow, encourages informal meetings among colleagues and teams, and promotes socialization and even moments of “disconnection” from work to relax or find new inspirations. To meet these needs, Actiu responds with flexible, modular collections capable of adapting to the environment and its constantly changing demands, with lightweight yet solid and durable furnishings that are ergonomic and can foster creativity.
