EDIT Naples, the sixth edition kicks off

October 11-13, meeting in Naples with companies and designers for the fair-event involving fascinating spaces in the city

Four days (October 11-13), more than a hundred exhibitors, many interesting locations (the Archivio di Stato di Napoli – State Archives of Naples, headquarters, but also the Teatro San Carlo, the Real Museo Mineralogico, the Royal Palace and others): EDIT Naples inaugurates tomorrow its sixth edition, with a strong identity – that of a privileged space where to showcase authoritative, sustainable and quality design – that has made it an appointment with growing numbers. As well as an important meeting moment for the entire design community.

One of the event’s strong points is its ability to bring historic architecture – the Archive is housed in an ancient monastery that has been expanded several times over the centuries – and contemporary design into dialogue. For this edition, the design of the first atrium has been entrusted to designer Sara Mondaini, together with her German colleague Lilo Klinkenberg, who created the concept for the green spaces.

Spain will have a strong presence, thanks to the España Diseño Mediterráneo competition, organized in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes de Nápoles, and the designer Tomás Alía, who selected five young talents.

A jury of designers and experts will award the prize for the best unpublished project; the winners will be invited to attend EDIT Napoli 2025 free of charge and, thanks to the partnership with Labò Cultural Project, will have the opportunity to exhibit during Milano Design Week 2025.

One of the flagships of the event is the series of initiatives involving historical places in the city, putting them in dialogue with contemporary design. For this edition: Abet Laminati at the Sede Sussidiaria dell’Archivio di Stato, Kengo Kuma/Alcantara at the Teatro San Carlo, Allegra Hicks at the Ipogeo dei Cristallini, Alpi Wood at the Real Museo Mineralogico, Cassina at the Palazzo Reale, Incalmi/Caterina Roppo at the Complesso Museale Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio ad Arco, THiRTYONE Design + Management at the Museo Civico Gaetano Filangieri.
