A heritage renewed

The iconic Brera sofa by Poliform inspires a new bed that follows its aesthetics and values of maximum comfort

Consistency of style is the hallmark of the Poliform lifestyle. All its collections, each with its own distinctive features and the fruit of different creative minds, dialogue with each other in perfect continuity. There is an overall harmony, a choral direction that defines a single language dedicated to timeless elegance for the home as a whole.

This is the principle on which Jean-Marie Massaud has developed the Brera collection: born as a sofa in 2022, it soon became an icon of the brand. This is due to its horizontal, clean and contemporary design, synonymous with refinement, and to its architectural lines, which reflect his concept of a ‘domestic space’ for meeting, conviviality and relaxation. This style and this ideal are now perfectly revived in the collection’s new bed, which brings the idea of a soft, enveloping living landscape into the bedroom. “The Brera bed takes its inspiration from the sofa of the same name, but is dedicated to the comfort of the bedroom,” says the French designer. It is therefore designed for maximum relaxation, with wide headrests and an architectural and refined language of structure and mattress.

The bed therefore has an almost monumental, wide, longitudinal headboard that extends beyond the sommier, leaving space to accommodate the bedside tables and visually integrate them with the double bed. The leather frame on which the sommier rests is reminiscent of the sofa and forms a distinctive aesthetic element, as does the foot that lifts it off the floor and lightens its appearance.
