The name Geminiano Cozzi has strong ties with a precise idea of style and beauty, combined with entrepreneurial courage and a genuine passion for research. The narrative begins in the 1700s: born in Modena, a skillful potter, towards the middle of the century Cozzi moved to Venice. At the time the city was the only European state, besides Germany, that produced hard-paste porcelain, which until the early years of the century had been a monopoly of China. A “white gold” that in the courts of the western world was a symbol of luxury and refinement.

In 1765 Geminiano Cozzi founded his workshop, located in the Cannaregio district. He immediately defined its style: very refined decorations, rich colors, bold aesthetic research ahead of the times. The workshop closed in 1812, 15 years after the end of the Venetian Republic, and the objects it produced are now conserved in leading museums, or sold at exclusive international auctions. Tonino Tognana, an erudite businessman active in this sector, had decided to write a new chapter for the firm, bringing it into the present but without forgetting its glorious past. Geminiano Cozzi Venezia 1765 celebrates the excellence of the material, producing objects for the table and décor in fine bone porcelain, while opening the way for collaborations with haute hotellerie, premium restaurants and lifestyle brands of reference on a worldwide level, formulating totally customized projects.
