Cooking in the fresh air

Poliform presents its first outdoor kitchen, Land, to complete a sophisticated and variegated landscape of life in the open air

The kitchen truly has no more boundaries. Starting with its infinite compositional possibilities, which adapt to any type of setting, size and style. We should also consider the now established trend towards a nearly perfect merger between the kitchen and the living area, leading to a single solution in which zones for activity, relaxation, conversation and dining form an inseparable whole. The kitchen is the heart of the home, and so it remains – a concept that is valid in both indoor and outdoor situations. Spaces en plein air have gained growing importance, including gardens, terraces and seating areas decorated with the same care and style that goes into the indoor areas of the home, augmented by the pleasure of cooking in the great outdoors.

Poliform, which has made its debut with its first Outdoor Collection, now combines numerous and innovative kitchen offerings with a new, exclusive outdoor version. Its name is Land, and it has been designed in collaboration with CAP. Land thus completes a collection for life in the open air that already, from the outset, offers a total range of solutions for lounges and relaxation, dining and entertaining – sofas and armchairs, cots and dining tables, but also carpets, coffee tables and décor complements. The Land kitchen is therefore an element that epitomizes Poliform’s vision of an outdoor lifestyle, reflecting the company’s philosophy of elegant, sophisticated living, also outside the domestic enclosure, in a continuing harmonious bond between human beings, nature and landscape.

Land enters the context, bringing aesthetic force and material impact. Rigorous geometric lines suggesting an industrial style make it an ideal architectural choice for outdoor settings. The kitchen is a series of modules attached on longitudinal beams, making it appear to be suspended. Linear and essential, it comes in two versions: wall-mounted or freestanding.

Its character is underscored by the total black finish: Land is made of aluminium, Inalco MDi and steel, all ideal for use in the open air, to ensure extreme strength and durability, along with counters in solid teak. Every requirement of outdoor cooking is provided: a sink with a fold-away faucet, the Flamkraft barbecue unit in brushed steel, a cutting board, steel storage units and practical auxiliary trolleys. The functional design of Land also stands out on a technical level, requiring no electrical connection: all operations are fueled by gas or batteries.
