The year 2024 marks an important passage in the vision of S•CAB. The offerings in the new collection have been conceived mainly for life in the open air, but their potential is much greater: relying on at times irreverent versatility, they can also freely inhabit indoor settings, where they stand out for their warm contemporary minimalism. In spite of the diversities of imagination and morphology, the furnishings adapt with ease to spaces of different sizes and styles. Every piece, in its own way, has been created to bridge a gap, to construct a relationship: as in the case of the armchairs and chaises longues that insert themselves in a seating island, of the ottomans and small tables that provide new surfaces, or the complements that enhance the presence of plants in our everyday lives. What emerges is a microcosm, where new developments establish a dialogue with pieces already in the collection.

Since the design in 2023 of the Brezza chair, which marked the beginning of the collaboration between S•CAB and Alessandro Stabile, a wider family has expanded to include a lounge chair and a two-seat settee. The collection is completed by a low table featuring two large planks of cement or HPL. Great attention has been paid to sustainability, inheriting the production approach of the original piece: the seat cushions with easily removable covers are attached to the frame without the use of glues, buttons, zippers or Velcro, making maintenance and replacement comply with the tenets of the circular economy. The range of fabrics in recycled fibers has been reinforced with two variations based on post-consumer recycled materials, combined with pre-consumer industrial scrap.
Malvasia by Francesca Lanzavecchia is an outdoor chair that produces games of light and shadow with its metal weaves, suggesting the image of lace or the foliage of a tree. In spite of the apparent simplicity, its design meets a true production challenge: to extract the seat and back from a single perforated and calendared piece, then welding them almost invisibly to the tubular frame. This particularly complex process takes the metal close to its limit of flexibility, attenuating its coldness. The legs, with a dual curvature, bring lightness to the piece, whose minimal profile is completed by the addition of soft cushions.

The Atomo project by Spalvieri & Del Ciotto stems from the need to create a table for insertion in any space, always with a leading role. Light and sturdy, the aluminium structure is composed of a base in die-cast metal, to which to attach the legs supporting the top. Every detail of form, like the refined connection between the base and the tubing, responds to aesthetic research that employs the most advanced production technology to generate a balanced product with a contemporary style.
The wide range of colors and finishes makes it possible to adapt to the needs of any space, indoors and outdoors, in homes or contract applications. Based on playful experimentation, the Hyppo family of tables by Meneghello Paolelli has been developed for outdoor use, but adapts with versatility to interiors as well.

The inspiration, as indicated by the name, is connected with the shape of a hippopotamus, and stands out in the design of the large, sculptural aluminium legs. The top in colored laminate features a slim profile and intentionally irregular contours, again linking back to the body of the animal. Available in different diameters and heights, with appealing colors like ochre, carmine, quartz green and petroleum green, for a matte finish. The outdoor microcosm of S•CAB is completed by complements for the staging of floral compositions or ornamental plants, for use in both indoor and outdoor spaces. The Mimosa plant stand created by Ionna Vautrin, with lines that seem like shoots and branches connecting the trays, suggest the idea of a root or a rhizome. For a colorful graphic effect, they can be positioned in a corner, against the wall, or suspended like an applique. The ethereal pots, colored and in large sizes, imitate the shape of a flower composed of a stem and a blossom. Shaded coloring underscores the graphic character.
