The roster of creative talents behind the excellence of the Giorgetti universe in 2024 keeps growing, including new signatures and long-term liaisons: Aatismo, Roberto Cambi, Carlo Colombo, Dainelli Studio, Draga & Aurel, Forma77, HBA, Silvia Musetti, Nava + Arosio, Mauro Todesco, Tollgard & Castellani and Giorgetti R&D. One of the latest interactions is with Silvia Musetti, a young artist and designer who conducts research and experimentation, with a clear focus on collectible design. There is also the award-winning studio HBA, Hirsch Bedner Associates, an important international player in the hospitality design sector. Both have been chosen by the company to preview the launch of the new collection. Each brings a particular contribution to the sophisticated domestic panorama of Giorgetti, fitting impeccably into the company’s range thanks to a wide, versatile vision that always respects the bond with the brand’s roots.

The furniture on view during Design Week in Milan at the space Giorgetti Spiga – The Place is a tangible demonstration of the way the company updates the tradition, incorporating different intuitions and stimuli. Fine craftsmanship and bespoke sensibilities are still the key factors of a total approach to interior design. The Liz collection by Silvia Musetti accompanies the organization of the night zone or the entrance, relying on the brand’s usual meticulous attention to detail. Pieces that promise a relaxing break, through a sensitive interpretation of the delicate settings in which they are inserted. Liz-valet is a sculptural piece composed of two monolithic volumes, combining to form a sinuous, compact island. Each cylinder is different in terms of height –102.5 and 123 cm – and material.

The lower part is in Canaletto walnut with a top in leather, while the other is covered in leather and equipped, by request, with a sensor thanks to which a movement of the foot permits backlighting of the onyx top, enhancing the precious veins of the stone. The differences also include the graphics of the trouser bar and coat rack, in metal covered with slide-proofing leather, and the raised border of the top that creates a sort of pocket-caddie tray for small objects.

Liz-bench and Liz-console follow the same fil rouge: cylindrical legs of differing diameter, of which one is in leather, the other in walnut, with an onyx top available with backlighting, support an elliptical surface in Canaletto walnut and a lower zone covered in leather. For the console, the leather top acts as a coiffeuse or a caddie for personal effects, but can also become a desk for quick everyday correspondence. In the bench, the padded seat is a concentrate of comfort and functionality.
The Hikari collection, with a bar cabinet and a sideboard, is instead the result of the international vision and multidisciplinary approach of HBA. The volume, with a light structure and metal border, is partially closed by a door in ash wood and a drawer, and partially open, framed by glass wings of different widths with metal borders. The careful selection of colors, textures and materials creates a sensory experience involving the eyes and the touch. Like the use of leather for the top of the open compartment, and of annealed, back-etched, shaded and tempered glass for the top of the cabinet. Or the choice of a mirror surface for the inside, emphasizing the vivid character of the piece.
