Art history on the walls

WallPepper®/Group presents the Museum Collection capsule in collaboration with Scala Archives

The project of WallPepper®/Group is simple and revolutionary at the same time: with the Museum Collection capsule, the company offers its private and contract clients the possibility of bringing great works from art history to life on walls.

For this initiative the brand relies on the collaboration with SCALA Archives, an important digital and analog archive of works of art, from which 40 masterpieces have been selected. SCALA Istituto Fotografico Editoriale was founded in Florence in 1953 by two young art history students with a passion for photography, John Clark and Mario Ronchetti, encouraged and supported by the famous professor Roberto Longhi, possibly the leading art historian of the 20th century in Italy.

Longhi’s innovative idea was to professionally photograph works of art, including architecture, for the first time in color, making the images available to the world of publishing to encourage the study of artworks. Shortly after the high-quality color photography, Scala also added writings by outstanding art historians, publishing a series of monographs in various languages.

Reproduced with the highest accuracy on fine surfaces composed of agave fibers and cellulose, free of PVC and printed with ecological inks, the coverings of the Museum Collection are made exclusively to measure, in order to adapt perfectly to the size of the host surface. Furthermore, each work can be printed on any material in the catalogue (sound absorbing, water-repellent, etc.).
