Paris Déco Off, a traditional event held during the January edition of Maison&Objet, gathers the most important names in the field of furnishing fabrics and wallpapers who meet in Paris to present their new collections. Its offshoot is the parallel event Paris Déco Home, where furnishing in its protagonist is furniture in its most artisanal dimension, in a dimension that is always contemporary dimension.

The 2024 edition brings together some 150 maisons. This edition proposes a common symbol: the tree of life. “Because decoration is socially universal, a mirror of who we are: wherever we come from, wherever we live, it evolves at our own rhythm”, explain organisers Carole Locatelli and Hugues Charuit.

Paris Déco Off/Home is a walk through colour and creativity, open to professionals but also to the public: the Saturday evening is very well attended, with dozens of parties and cocktails in the Saint-Germain district.

In addition to the two ‘historical’ centres of the event, Place Saint-Germain (Left Bank) and Rue du Mail (Right Bank), with free shuttle buses to connect them, there will be a new stage in Place Saint-Sulpice (also Left Bank), where Passage Saint-Sulpice will bring together some fifteen maisons in small temporary showrooms.

“For the Passage, we asked four interior designers – Elliott Barnes, Laurent Maugoust & Cécile Chenais, Franck Genser and Frédéric Imbert – to create as many fittings for the central corridor”, explain the organisers. “And we called on Vranken to organize a bar à champagne, open to visitors.”
As in previous years, the streets involved are signposted to the public with large fabric-covered lamps, while giant furniture is set up in Place Saint-Germain, Place de Furstenberg and Place des Petits-Pères.
