There is a red thread that runs through the entire Giorgetti collection. Every piece is made with the same care, the same manufacturing skill, with the approach of fine cabinetmaking that has made the firm’s century-long history, from the founding to the present. Even in the accessories or decorative elements, the complements that accompany the main presences in the domestic setting, the research on forms, combinations of materials and types of workmanship generates artifacts of sartorial excellence, given the attention to detail that goes into each creation. Giorgetti has formulated a clearly identifiable and recognizable “style,” shaped in wood and accompanied by the allure of “made by hand” reflected in every single product.
Borealis is a perfect representation of this concept. Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, the screen is composed of woven leather strips, each formed by two bonded layers of leather in two different colors. The result is a composition of full and empty zones, with a “peek-a-boo” effect, developed on three rotating panels framed by an aluminium structure.

Dozens of handmade eyelets form a series, like bows, and in every fold they suggest the shapes traced by the aurora borealis – hence the name. Borealis is therefore “an object with a sculptural image, the result of quick thinking implemented with a simple gesture,” as the company explains, in tune with both classic and contemporary atmospheres, where it adds character but also with a functional touch, dividing spaces and creating intimacy.

Sculptural appeal and painstaking emphasis on details are also see in the Summa and Otto poufs designed by the Art Director Giancarlo Bosio. His typical approach of geometric purity is enhanced by unexpected touches that creation original “variations on the theme” of the cylindrical form. In Summa, it is broken down and reassembled with vertical parts, mixing colors and materials like fabric and leather. In Otto, on the other hand, the design plays with the identity of the piece, where what looks like seating can also become a table, thanks to the extractable and swiveling top (in coated steel) that can be revealed when necessary.
From the forms to the functions to the materials, the savoir-faire of Giorgetti seeks apparent aesthetic simplicity, elegant and understated, but always the result of in-depth design study that combines craftsmanship with efficient technology. A low table in canaletto walnut or marble, Mia has a solid base combined with a large, slim top, which thanks to its angular shaping interlocks with the Woody table, available with a top in wood or marble but also in the ottoman version covered in fabric or leather.
