Rigorous forms

Extraordinary technical potential, linear and compact design. The ingredients of the new collections of faucets

Shiny, matte or with a satin finish, colored or entirely in metal, based on vintage imagery or on minimalist effects. Faucets are the protagonists of the bath environment, a meeting place of technology and design. Carefully created to ensure maximum functional quality and savings on water consumption, the new taps fit into the bathroom context with a touch of formal refinement, expressed through rigorous geometric lines. A graphic feature of the space with a discreet presence, which reveals all its potential in the moment of use.

The series by Bellucci Mazzoni Progetti for Cristina Rubinetterie is called Piega (on cover), and is entirely made of stainless steel, as part of the Inox Collection. Clean forms and orderly details can be seen in the study of the lever that interlocks with the cylinder, while the curvature of the rounded handles in the wall versions, for showers and tubs, creates elegant reflections of light.

The Maxima mixer by FIMA Carlo Frattini stands out for its cross-shaped grips with their contemporary lines, found in the entire series in versions for washstands, tubs and showers, in an array of available finishes.

Meta by Dornbracht

Meta by Dornbracht

The Meta faucet series by Dornbracht is minimalism in its purest form. The lever and the tap are connected to the cylindrical body at a precise 90-degree angle. They thus run perfectly parallel to each other, like the filigree space in the lower part of the lever, without notches. Today the product comes in a new two-tone solution: the handles and spigot can have different finishes to combine as desired, for maximum personalization.

The first series of Pepe faucets designed by the architect Paolo Bertarelli for Fratelli Frattini has been expanded to become Pepe M Style, XL 316 INOX and XLS 316 INOX, combining marble, natural stones and stainless steel. With a minimal cylindrical body and a compact control lever, the extra-large version Pepe XL (in the photo) offers bigger proportions (height 192 mm, cylinder diameter 45 mm, with a control lever – also cylindrical – with length of 82 mm). Besides the essential chrome-plated version, the product comes in nine finishes from which to choose.

Zucchetti launches Octo, the new collection of single-control mixers designed by David Lopez Quincoces. The project began with a simple aim: to introduce a design with a flat spout, entirely in brass. Lopez adds roundness to the product by concentrating on the spout and the handle, making them extremely slim and balancing their proportions in a truly linear collection. Available in various finishes, the collection is the result of a long process or research and technical evolution to permit the flow of water in the narrow spout.

The Aurelia collection designed by Danilo Fedeli for Rubinetterie Treemme reinterprets classic forms with modern lines and proportions, generating a rigorous sculptural look. The concept is that of enhancing light and its reflections through cuts on the cylindrical surfaces. Aurelia is a complete collection of single-control faucets, produced in brass with a choice of 12 different finishes.
