Bangkok: history and modernity

The new monobrand showroom of Rimadesio opens in the Thai capital, amidst the works of architecture of a city that grows in a tangle of old and new

“One night in Bangkok and the world’s your oyster,” sang Murray Head in the refrain of a pop song in the 1980s. The essence of Thailand captured by that tune is still vivid decades later, in a city where skyscrapers mingle with temples in a scenario of extraordinary modernity.

In the district of Thonglor, one of the most elegant zones of the city, filled with residential complexes and commercial buildings, the new monobrand store of Rimadesio is located inside an architectural structure of clean, rigorous lines. The same lines set the tone of the products on display, innovative technological creations that interpret an approach of infinite compositional freedom and effective juxtapositions of materials.

As in the iconic Modulor paneling system, the new Radius pivoting door, or the Maxi sliding door, all designed by Giuseppe Bavuso. An offering of haute design, ready for use in custom projects for all clients, with maximum personalization. Also with the help of the R Academy, the internal space organized for design and selection of finishes.

The opening of the showroom, a true creative laboratory, has been made possible by the collaboration with a local partner, Grande Armoire, which remarks: “We have always admired Rimadesio for its quality and its essential design. Rimadesio is not just a décor brand; it is a company that focuses, as we do, on custom architectural solutions and systems.”
