A villa from the late 1800s facing Lake Bled, in Slovenia, has undergone major restyling carried out by the architect Enrico Gobbi. His studio has restored the house and its garden, refurbishing all the outdoor spaces and designing all the interiors, while complying with the constraints imposed by the heritage authorities, conserving certain details of the original building, such as the floors, the wall paneling, the balustrades, ornamental stuccowork and decorative frames.
For the restyling the architects have opted for a warm color scheme, matching accents based on the green lakeside landscape with tones of taupe and bronze, highlighted by details in marble and satin-finish brass. Elegant and exclusive, the spaces are completed by furnishings that reference Central European style, like the Nouveau-inspired chandeliers in crystal and brass, the marble mosaics of the flooring in the atrium, with overtones of Art Deco, and the metal frames of the internal doors, faithful reproductions of the originals.
The villa has five floors, one of which is a basement, offering ample space for the spa area, with a swimming pool of about 15 meters in length, clad in glass mosaic with a custom design in various tones of green. This color thus returns to bring the atmospheric blue-green tones of the lake into the house.
The living and dining areas are on the first floor, while the guestrooms are placed at ground level. The upper floor contains the private apartment of the owner, another setting full of refined details, furnishings by well-known Italian brands, prestigious fabrics and leathers in warm hues.
