Teamwork

The office today is synonymous with meetings, interaction, collaboration and sharing. Spaces and furnishings adapt to this new workplace identity that puts the accent on teamwork

Contemporary offices are being shaped in relation to a new identity: they are places in which to meet, to interact, to compare ideas and projects, collaborating and sharing time and creativity. Rather than individual workstations, room is made for meeting areas, as well as large open-plan areas where big extensible tables are the protagonists, along with stackable chairs, dividers and sound-absorbing panels. The furnishings are geared for maximum flexibility, with modular design, personalization and versatility. All with an accent on teamwork.

In the world of seating Vitra  has again collaborated with Antonio Citterio to create the model ACX, his tenth office chair. The mechanism of this model adjusts automatically to the weight of the user. The controls for all the functions are perfectly inserted in the panel below the seat. The mechanism is available with or without frontward bending, while the other functions (height, seat depths, back blocking and two counterweight settings) all come as standard equipment.

One of the first things to keep in mind in teamwork situations is acoustic comfort. Snowcustom by Caimi is composed of patented sound-absorbing parts made in variable-density polyester fiber and covered in fabric. The units can be attached to the wall with metal plates (in the photo) or to the ceiling, with steel structures outfitted with high-adjustable cables.

For almost 60 years, the USM Modular Furniture systems have brought character into workspaces, contributing to create smart, versatile zones. The USM Haller tables, juxtaposed with each other, become a large professional worksurface. Below them, drawer units on wheels provide orderly, functional filing and storage. On the walls, the USM Haller modular storage system permits effective and efficient office organization.

Ofitres, Tray by Pedro Feduchi

Ofitres, Tray by Pedro Feduchi

Pedro Feduchi has designed the Tray collection for the Spanish company Ofitres, with an office table featuring an architectural base, with accessories for separation, storage and filing. An adapter permits rotation of 30 degrees between the tables, with a natural extension of the worksurface, a lower tray for objects and a circular extension for meetings. The sport version includes a boxing bag, for those moments when the mind needs a break, to work off tension or simply to keep fit.

Newform, Hook by Karim Rashid

Hook, created by Karim Rashid for Newform, is an extremely versatile desk thanks to its modular design and completely personalized finishes. The clean surfaces are equipped with LED lamps and a lower auxiliary surface. The structure is completed by a series of translucent screens and lateral panels, emphasizing the fact that in a coworking space everyone is invited to share not only working facilities, but also ideas and projects.

Alias, Frametable by Alberto Meda

Frametable, the iconic table from Alias designed by Alberto Meda, becomes a system thanks to the introduction of curved elements at a 60-degree angle, and rectangular parts that can be juxtaposed to create ideal configurations for meetings, conferences and sequences of workstations. The structure has legs in die-cast aluminium, connected to linear or curved extrusions, depending on the modules.

Herman Miller presents its first stackable chair, Fuld Nesting designed by Stefan Diez, which avoids the typical X-shaped structure in favor of an elegant Y-shaped base with tubular arms. The back has a touch of elasticity that permits comfortable sitting with ease of movement. The model stands out among nesting chairs because it permits reconfiguration of spaces for different uses, such as group meetings and training sessions. Conceived for practicality, it comes with a fold-back seat and wall-saver legs that prevent the back from leaving marks on walls.

The iconic Osaka sofa designed by Pierre Paulin in 1967 has been reissued by laCividina, celebrating the 10th anniversary of its production. For the occasion, the company presented a capsule collection where the famous model is covered with fabric by Kvadrat, made with techniques that reduce water consumption by up to 95%.

Quinti, Aventador

Quinti, Aventador

Rigorous design, welcoming forms and innovative technologies set the tone of the Aventador seating by Quinti. The aluminium armrests are the fulcrum of the chair, attached to the synchro mechanism of the new generation, while the back is made in steel and variable-density polyurethane.
