Alessi in British style

AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi designed the Alessi's new store at Harrods, made entirely to measure by Lema Contract

“We conceived the store as a big house of cards.” Davide Angeli, Deputy Managing Director AMDL CIRCLE, comments on the design for Alessi‘s new store inside Harrods, London. The space, in its 30 square meters, is in fact extremely scenic and immersive: “small modular panels alternating in typical British green and mirrored, combine in a game of interlocking and reflections, which allows to build different configurations to highlight the preciousness and uniqueness of Alessi products.”

Designed by AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi, the store was entirely built by Lema Contract, which developed a major wide-ranging intervention on all the physical components of the concept store, from the floor to the checkout counter, with a complete customization of the space.

Lema’s technical expertise in creating custom-made solutions emerges primarily from the perimeter equipped walls themselves, in the skillful combination of materials and compositional harmony resulting from the rhythmic succession of green lacquered shelves with vertical mirrored dividers and green panels in an oblique direction, creating a dynamic, three-dimensional effect that enhances the more than 200 objects signed Alessi.

Not to be outdone is the large display table with glass case: placed in the center of the store, it echoes the symmetries of the surrounding furnishings as well as the color. Up to the original display tower, a piece of furniture with a sculptural character composed of a vertical structure in smoked glass and green lacquered shelves.
