Rugs, what a passion!

More and more furniture companies are including rugs in their collections as sensory surfaces and decorative elements coordinated with interior proposals

Upholstery, furniture, systems and, why not, rugs. Furniture companies are increasingly inclined to create a complete home setting, enriching their interior proposals with coordinated decorative elements. Carpets thus complement the offerings of design companies, connoted by the same design and style that accompanies living and sleeping solutions. The result is surfaces that are fascinating to the eye, soft to the touch: a softness to experience that amplifies the sensory experience and home comfort.

Among the new items of note is Giorgetti‘s new Breeze rug (on cover), which expands the Atmosphere line of objects and accessories: home decoration proposals capable of expressing, in small dimensions, the brand’s infinite manufacturing capacity, thus defined by a distinctive artisanal attention to detail. Breeze is made of bamboo wool and silk using the traditional hand loom to combine different fibers so that the dense and subtle tonal variation emerges.

Instead, they draw from the Maison’s signature styles, the new Fendi Casa rugs, made of mohair and silk, linen and cotton; woven by hand, they create a collection with a strong iconic accent, characterized by soft textures and color effects derived from Fendi’s distinctive graphics. Among Like Walata, a rectangular rug with an ethnic flavor that reproposes in wool, jute and leather a historic pattern of the Maison, Eskimo.

Wisp Mosaic by Minotti

Seventies inspiration, on the other hand, for Minotti‘s Wisp Mosaic rug, an unprecedented version of the long pile Wisp rug. Offered in round or rectangular shapes, Wisp Mosaic is handcrafted using the manual Tufting method from 100 percent New Zealand wool. With its vaguely disheveled appearance, it adds softness to the furniture elements with which it relates, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere in interiors. Wisp Mosaic is made by interlocking three colors that give the rug a conceptual geometry, in two variations: Rust, composed of the colors Rust, Green and Ecru, and Mocha, composed of the colors Mocha, Steel and Ecru.

Aran by Baxter

Aran by Baxter

It takes on the colors and moods of the eclectic 2023 collection, Baxter‘s Aran rug: a hemp and viscose weave with strong tactile and visual value, with a design that seems to evoke the unraveling of a river. The 1970s mood, in shades of aquamarine, lives on in this decorative element, designed in-house and handmade in Nepal.

Pollination of Hortensia by Moooi

Pollination of Hortensia by Moooi

Moooi translates its imaginative spirit into each of its creations. The new carpet collection “Pollination of Hortensia,” inspired by Andrés Reisinger‘s digital work “Pollen,” becomes perfectly representative of this. This series illustrates the power of transformation and growth, capturing the essence of the seasons.
