To sample, with the eyes and the taste buds, the energetic and vivid experiences and emotions of Sicily. From breakfast to drinks in the evening, Memà – Café, Osteria and Champagnerì – opens its arms with maternal warmth to guests in the city of Milan, narrating the tradition from a perspective of cosmopolitan style.
For the interior design, the architect Simone Fantoni has taken inspiration from the background of the founder Paolo Sassi, his place of birth – Caccamo – and the location where he grew up – Cefalù. History, culture and beauty are the ingredients of the simple, tasty recipes and the décor, carefully formulated down to the smallest details.
Many of the decorative elements are of great visual impact, embodying domestic memories. The atmosphere is reassuring, warm, retro. Like the tones of the 1950s and 1960s suggested by the Lisa chair designed by Marco Ziliani for S•Cab, which thanks to its high level of comfort becomes a central pivot for perception of all the pleasures of the spaces and their offerings.
The enveloping back and lightly padded seat are supported by a thin tubular metal structure in a brushed gold finish. The cowhide covering alternating with green velvet adds another touch of Sicilian spirit.
