Light as energy flowing through space like a wave: this is the concept that two of the novelties that Slamp presents at Euroluce 2023 seem to suggest. Both more light sculptures than just lighting fixtures, they bear two important signatures. The first is Aria infinita, a project celebrating the tenth anniversary of Slamp’s association with Zaha Hadid (1950-2016). It is a suspension lamp with architectural volumes, made of sheets juxtaposed to each other in sequence, which develop in space creating a sinusoidal wave of important dimensions (at its maximum height it reaches two metres), available in white and gold.

Made and assembled by hand, the sheets are positioned around a luminous body in Lentiflex®, from which emanates a luminosity that evolves according to the point of observation. Aria Infinita goes beyond the traditional concept of lighting to create a scenographic and powerful installation, with a system that can be ideally replicated ad infinitum, thus also meeting the needs of large environments, both domestic and contract.

Another design feat among the new Slamp proposals is the new version of the Nuvem modular system by Portuguese sculptor and architect Miguel Arruda. Created as a reinterpretation of one of his sculptures from 1980, Nuvem now acquires movement thanks to a motion system that can be adjusted via an app allowing infinite configurations. An abstract form, a veil or a floating cloud composed of hexagonal modules in Opalflex® lit by spotlights that diffuse light bi-directionally. Available in two colours, white and velvet.
