The new Parisian ‘home’ of Boffi|DePadova

The way of living of the group’s brands is fully conveyed by the new store in Paris: a former garage with a spectacular skylight, at 16 Boulevard Raspail

Boffi|DePadova puts down roots in Paris, a city where it has operated for as many as 50 years with a showroom on Boulevard Saint-Germain, with a new store close by at 16 Boulevard Raspail. A large space – a former garage with a surface area of 900 sqm – in which to narrate the various facets of an overall design approach.

Developed in separate but communicating areas, the space – which in the past hosted the luxury fashion brand Kenzo and features a large glass skylight, supported by a structure in white painted metal – generates a refined atmosphere full of vivid personality.

Organized on two levels connected by an essential, striking staircase set at the center of the space, clad in the emblematic gray color (shared by all the spaces of Boffi|DePadova), the new location embraces the excellence of the production of the brands of the group, in a single multifaceted and coherent vision.

The display areas feature coordinated proposals for bathrooms, wardrobe systems and kitchens. Like Case 5.0 – Becoming, revised by Piero Lissoni twenty years later with new proportions, specially developed materials and a totally invisible induction hob, set into the cladding of the counter. The spaces are also defined by ADL partition systems, featuring very fluid movement, connecting one area to the next.

The rhythm is set by the De Padova lighting elements (with the Elementi component system designed by Elisa Ossino, visually joining the two levels), by the Everyday Life upholstered furniture collection designed by Paul Smith, and Raffles by Vico Magistretti, reinterpreted with fabrics from the archives of Society Limonta. There are also the R.I.G. systems created by MA/U Studio, with a Scandinavian spirit, and the pieces of Time & Style ēdition, based on extreme woodworking refinement and fine Japanese craftsmanship.

“We are reinforcing our position on the European market and design scene, opening the Boffi|DePadova space in Paris on Boulevard Raspail,” says Roberto Gavazzi, CEO of Boffi|DePadova. “Furthermore, this is an opportunity to emphasize our commitment to a corporate strategy, bringing together different companies and languages in a proposal for living space that is increasingly identifiable on an international level.”
