BertO opens its first foreign single-brand showroom

Singapore is the destination chosen by the company, in collaboration with ReCasa Living, to export its know-how abroad

Avant-garde design, an established tradition of craftsmanship Made in Italy, digital growth. And, above all, care for clients: this is the mixture of values behind the success of BertO, the company founded in 1974 at Meda, in the Lombard design furniture district.

After the stores in Meda, Rome, Turin, Brescia and Padua, BertO heads east and announces the opening of a new single-brand showroom in Singapore, at 9 Harrison Road, Harrison Industrial Building, in partnership with ReCasa Living, an innovative retailer in the luxury décor sector.

The work counter, an element present in every BertO store

The three co-founders of ReCasa Living – Hillary Tjioe, Teddy Sun and Charina Widjaja – bring extensive interior design experience to the project, thanks to a background of distribution of Italian brands on the Singapore market. They share the company’s long-term values, especially the approach to customer relations.

“The Asian retail market is looking for Italian firms capable of constructing different relationships with the public; a public that wants to purchase products Made in Italy, but which above all is interested in understanding the philosophy and spirit embodied by certain Italian players,” says Ceo Filippo Berto, of the second generation of BertO entrepreneurs. “Our partners at ReCasa Living have chosen BertO precisely because we have always offered a different retail model, based on comprehension and listening to the client.”

The store has an area of over 300 sqm inside, bordered by glass walls, where the BertO layout is organized in two living areas: one for the day, the other for the night zone.

Two of the most characteristic features of BertO stores will be included in the showroom: the work counter, a true crafts workshop where the company’s art of upholstery finds maximum expression, in a wide range of finishes and details, and the BertO Live area, a place for music and décor, the two great passions of Filippo Berto.

A team of 7 interior designers will convey the Dream Design project by BertO, offered to clients through products to transform spaces into the home of one’s dreams: a coordinated system of furnishing elements and complements, with links between the two based on lines, volumes, colors and stylistic codes.

“We appreciate the way BertO concentrates on customer relations, and this is one of the main reasons why we have enthusiastically accepted the challenge of bringing BertO and its products onto the Southeast Asian market, starting in Singapore,” say Teddy Sun and Charina Widjaja, co-founders of ReCasa. “BertO has brought innovation to the interior design market, based on a way of relating to clients and meeting their needs to the fullest. It is a true honor for ReCasa Living to launch the BertO brand and an innovative vision of design we share completely.”
