Créateurs Design Awards: winning excellence

In the field of architecture and design, the winners of the Créateurs Design Awards demonstrate creativity, brilliance and a long perspective with their works. Stay tuned in January to discover the names of the victors for 2023

The mission of the Créateurs Design Awards, a program of peer-to-peer prizes for excellence, is to discover, reward and support contemporary pioneers in the fields of interior design, product design, architecture, photography, journalism and curating. Founded in 2020, this important initiative relies on a jury of 300 voting members, and in addition to the prizes by categories it issues two special honors that commemorate Andrée Putman and Charlotte Perriand, exceptional protagonists of design and architecture.

The CDA jury is composed of architects, interior designers, journalists and product designers who stand out for their vision within the global design community. Applying for the CDA means sharing your work on a platform accessed by creative professionals and writers, including some of the most highly respected in the world. An opportunity for great visibility, opening the way for future partnerships, collaborations and commissions.

The prize ceremony takes place on 21 January 2023 in Paris, with a gala at the Shangri-La Hotel. The winners of the two special awards, on the other hand, have already been announced: the Andrée Putman prize for the career goes to the Japanese architect Tadao Ando, who has completed over 300 architectural projects including public buildings, religious structures and museums. His latest works include the Bourse de Commerce in Paris, the headquarters of the Pinault Collection, where tradition and modernity coexist in harmony.

The prestigious Charlotte Perriand prize will be assigned to Jeanne Gang, an American architect, founder of Studio Gang and designer of the Aqua Tower in Chicago, a building that stands out on the global scene for its aspects of sustainability, and for the fact that it is the tallest building in the world designed by a woman. In the past, other honorees of Créateurs Design Awards have been the architect Sir David Adjaye, the interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon and fashion icon Iris Apfel.
