Gandiablasco | Onsen

Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces experiment with materials having contrasting properties, mixing their use in the ONSEN outdoor furniture collection for Gandiablasco

A lounge chair, sofas and tables for the ONSEN outdoor furniture collection by Gandiablasco. Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces play with materials, alternating stainless steel, leather and waterproof outdoor fabrics. The covers are removable and are made with a border in acrylic fabric, adding great personality to the collection. Through weaves and elegant juxtapositions, the designers contrast the hardness of steel with the warmth of leather, choosing fabrics in natural tones. “The play of light and shadows. The contrast between empty and full. The mixture of opposing concepts. We have imagined a system that establishes dialogue, using the same language utilized by both architecture and nature,” the designers say. In their essential elegance, the furnishings fit perfectly into the architectural spaces of hotels, terraces, patios, porches and other types of indoor and outdoor facilities where relaxation is emphasized.
