Style according to Rubelli Casa

For 2022, a collection full of reminders and references to an era of glorious ideas: the era of Art Deco. Reinterpreted and distilled with the tools of modernity

The Rubelli Casa 2022 collection designed by Matteo Nunziati is made of soft lines and elegant pieces. A dialogue between present and past, a synthesis of refined taste. Sophisticated furnishings in terms of forms and combinations of materials that bring to mind what might be the most elegant moment of the 20th century: Art Déco, when Paris was the epicenter of style.

A historical moment in which fine craftsmanship met industrial production, choosing to do so on equal ground, to come to grips with modernity. An element, if you will, that makes that period – a golden chapter in the history of design – go together with the present, when the relationship between man and technology is increasingly central. Also in creative production.

Sinua serie by Rubelli Casa, Design Matteo Nunziati

A setting of the new Rubelli Casa collections designed by Matteo Nunziati. At center, the Sinua console combined with the Velour armchair, novelty 2022. At right, the Seta armchair and the Nodo side-table.

It is a sign that crosses through the Rubelli Casa collection, which applies classic stylemes borrowed from the tradition, transforming them into contemporary topics. Simplifying, making things more rational. But leaving the human touch intact, creating a balance between elegance and functional quality, past and future. As in the Sinua series (desk, console, coffee table), in which the linear design of the walnut tops forms a pleasant contrast with the curves of the supports, covered in fabric. The beautiful console-desk is made for writing letters (as in the past), but also for working with a laptop: a totally contemporary spirit.

Echoes of Art Déco can also be heard in the Yak sofa, a modular model available in different configurations (2 or 3 seats, or a corner version with chaise longue). The name of the animal that is a symbol of Tibet refers to its massive structure, but rendered rhythmical by curved lines that smooth the monolithic volume, creating an image of warm comfort. The Dedalo sofa, on the other hand, as a base featuring curves that open up the volume, granting it dynamism. This model offers large, soft, comfortable cushions: a piece that combines modernity and tradition in an intelligent synthesis..

The Velour chair is compact and comfortable, completing a family already included in the collection. The inner part is also in fabric, while the exterior can be in leather as well. A game of materials also applies to the Nodo table, which pairs the metal of the legs with tops in fabric bonded to glass, marble or veneered wood. The series concludes with the Gio chair (low or high back), whose name is a tribute to Gio Ponti, one of the most original architects and thinkers of the Italian 20th century: a seat covered in fabric, soft, resting on the ground with solid wood legs that instead have a terse, linear design. A contrast carried out with style for a versatile object, conceived for residential clients and contract projects.
