Relying on 60 years of experience, TreP has transformed doors from simple construction components to décor elements of great value for interior architecture and design. Driven by the desire to boost the qualitative level of products and to offer increasingly refined design creations, this initiative is combined with constant research on new materials and technical solutions.
The research then shifts into excellent workmanship, leading to a new chapter in the brand’s evolution today, in which the company reassesses and reissues models created by great designers. For an even more decisive approach to design, TreP has also begun an important collaboration with Carlo Colombo.

“First of all, we will introduce a new door and a new handle of my design,” Colombo explains. “Sophie is a very particular door, because it is made with inclined parts that form a delicate geometric design on the surface. The Wave handle is positioned precisely at their intersection, with its soft design that goes perfectly with the image of the door. Then we will work on a more complete program, involving sliding systems and paneling, as well as wardrobes and storage units where technology becomes a fundamental factor.”
A new pathway with an accent on design, for a company that in any case never forgets its history, as Fausto Citterio, CEO, remarks: “The firm also has an important heritage in its archives, so it is worthwhile to assign new value to the products created by the great masters. In particular, this year we are celebrating the 40 anniversary of Rever, a door designed by Cini Boeri that is still extremely contemporary in character. For this special moment, we will present new finishes and a new handle with a personalized insert.”

Also to rediscover the design masters, TreP has put Luce into production, a door designed by Joe Colombo featuring an elliptical imprint, which in the colored version uses the S-Matt finishes by ICA Group for an ultra-matte effect: besides standing up to fingerprints and scratching, these items have self-repairing properties, and since they are water-base finishes they have very low emissions of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds). The handles are the Beta model by Olivari, again designed by Joe Colombo.

“The path of TreP thus continues in two directions: on the one hand, the models of the design masters, and on the other an ongoing pursuit of innovation, in both materials and forms,” Fausto Citterio concludes. Among the products presented, a new door by the young designer Luca Marengo, and an expansion of the Surface collection created with Keracoll, called Total Look: a custom service for industrial production of flush-mounted doors, in perfect dialogue with the finishes of the home, also with the possibility of striking material effects.
