The architectural patterns of Porada

Like light graphic signs, they stand out in space with their dynamism and compositional versatility. The Porada bookcases are modular systems that adapt to the contemporary world with natural materials – as emphasized in the new campaign “Porada Green Soul”

The architectural character of Porada evolves with an accent on lightness. The company’s variegated “project making” for the human habitat – where large furnishings are joined by an increasingly large constellation of complements – extends to functional systems for the living area: bookcases that form domestic frameworks, separating spaces and combining practicality with a more substantial decorative effect.

Wood, in fact, is always the connector in these impressive décor settings, underlining the identity of the brand and its nature closely linked to craftsmanship (or even art) in the making of items in solid wood. The signature of the designer David Dolcini is also a shared factor in some of the more recent offerings, bearing witness to the delicacy of form that accompanies his creative flair. The results are bookcases of suave aesthetic elegance, solid in their structure, versatile in their expressive potential.

Starting with Delta, a new entry for 2022: a modular bookcase system where the design approach translates into outstanding compositional versatility. The apparent simplicity of the structure is enhanced by geometric details in solid canaletto walnut, with separators and feet in brass for a suggestion of Art Deco architecture. The project also calls for a limited number of parts: a single post in two different lengths (35 and 74 cm) that determines the distance between the shelves, and a single frame that functions as a shelf, as well as backs or lateral parts in smoked glass or canaletto walnut.

“This is my third bookcase system designed for Porada – says the designer. – After Myria and Aria, Delta sets out to provide a more rigorous, functional response to everyday habitat needs, where the home and the office often have to coexist.” Delta, exactly like Aria before it, permits the creation of configurations against the wall or at the center of a room, acting as an airy divider partition.

First produced in 2019, Aria stands out for its dynamic modular design; structural columns in ash wood (to attach to the ceiling or the wall) permit extreme personalization in terms of sizing and accessories: shelves in ash or glass, cabinets and drawer units that generate gales of color and volume.

Thanks to its natural identity, Aria fits perfectly into the company’s new ad campaign “Porada Green Soul”, which puts the accent on the human-nature bond generated by Porada’s products. While the setting of the new images appears to be dominated by artificial intervention, the concrete never takes over from the vegetation, a symbolic suggestion of the French forest owned by the company. An organic union between human beings and the environment, conveying a surreal but tangible vision of Porada’s foundations.
