Design as a sentiment

Japanese culture and sensibilities forge the minimalist design of Ritzwell, created to touch the hearts of human beings. At the Salone del Mobile.Milano, the company celebrates its 30th anniversary, displaying its remarkably high standards of craftsmanship. With a generous surprise

“Our mission is to produce refined furnishings that live and age with us, helping us to recuperate inner beauty.” The spirit of Ritzwell and its creations is summed up in these words – items designed not just to furnish the home, but to truly inhabit it. The design takes its cue from Japanese philosophy – the company was founded in Fukuoka in 1992 – and applies an essential language of contemporary international forms. Simple, balanced lines, pleasing to the eye and the touch, capable of conveying emotions and transmitting a sense of peace.

Ritzwell’s activity is consistent with its values, also in the case of the construction of a new production site at Itoshima, intentionally placed just a few steps away from the sea, immersed in an area filled with flourishing vegetation. The work takes on harmony thanks to the constant contact with nature, and this harmony is transmitted to the products through the hands of the artisans. The new Omotesando Shop & Atelier in Tokyo also echoes the close bond with nature, in the splendid urban forest of Nonoaoyama.

The central role of the genius loci and the accent on manual workmanship in all the production are also the focal points at Salone del Mobile.Milano. An appointment during which the company celebrates its 30th anniversary, presenting new developments for 2022 in an unusual guise: visitors will be able to observe a team of artisans at work, making carved legs and armrests, or seats with painstaking stitching.

Impeccable products like the Leewise Exclusive Sofa, a modular model with low seats that invite you to relax in the Japanese way, with cushions resting on a structure entirely in solid ash wood. Or the MO Bridge Bench Wooden Structure and MO Bridge Square Bench Wooden Structure, benches with different forms and the shared feature of woven cowhide to form the top. Another item is the MT Table, with a perfect balance between the large top in solid wood and the slim metal legs.

In addition, Ritzwell puts the spotlight on two iconic pieces available as limited editions: the Rivage Easy Chair and the JK Easy Chair, both featuring the high quality of natural materials, such as walnut, oak and leather. The Rivage Easy Chair can be won by a lucky visitors in the lottery organized by Ritzwell to celebrate its 30th birthday.
