For outdoor chefs

Fully accessorized or compact, outdoor kitchens open up the world of cooking to a new experiential context

They are becoming the nerve centers of the outdoor spaces of the home: outdoor kitchens provide an excuse to spend time together, for breakfasts, lunches and dinners prepared with the finest professional gear, or to enjoy drinks by the swimming pool. Professional kitchen models with open configurations, or more compact solutions for smaller spaces, move the ritual of food preparation into open-air spaces.

Norma (see cover image) is the new outdoor kitchen produced by Roda and designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. With elegant lines and remarkable performance, this model is modular and versatile. The freestanding island contains the sink block in steel set into the sturdy Lapitec® top. The peninsula offers an extension of the work area, which stretches to form a counter suspended in the air. The cooktop with five gas burners is independent of the other components, and can be set on feet or wheels for free movement.

Kettal presents Outdoor Kitchen, a new model in aluminium with the option of teak doors. The Ceppo di Gré counter can be completely closed by means of mobile panels. With connections for water, the kitchen can incorporate a refrigerator or a wine storage unit, while the cooktop is in ceramic glass. An optional trolley can serve as a counter during food preparation, and as a means of transport for serving. Available in 30 colors of aluminium, combined with the hues of the sliding doors, and in three shades of Ceppo di Gré.

K-IN & K-OUT by Rossana, Design Massimo Castagna

K-IN & K-OUT by Rossana, Design Massimo Castagna

Designed for Rossana by the architect Massimo Castagna, K-IN and K-OUT have been created for both indoor and outdoor use. Identical in aesthetic terms, permitting continuous arrangements using both, the models are constructed in different ways depending on the requests of the client: structures in wood for the indoor version, or in anodized aluminium for the outdoor model. The kitchens are essential volumes, with a single island block in stone or wood, available in a variety of configurations, sizes and finishes. The large sliding tops conceal the work zones, opening in both directions to transform the monolithic block into a kitchen enclosed in its form and proportions.

Skill Gres by Modulnova, Design Carlo Presotto & Andrea Bassanello

Skill Gres by Modulnova, Design Carlo Presotto & Andrea Bassanello

The Modulnova Skill Gres outdoor collection by Carlo Presotto and Andrea Bassanello stands out for the possibility of personalization with a wide range of materials and finishes, such as marble, stone, stoneware, steel and metal, generating projects made to measure and refined down to the smallest details. The essential, linear design is elegantly applied in the Dark Depth lime-effect stoneware island, which contains the large built-in sink and blends perfectly with the other two functional blocks in Graphite grosgrain marble, whose workmanship brings out the impact of the original texture. The technical equipment can be interchanged and removed: the freestanding electric hobs in steel stand up to salt air and weather, and can be positioned with maximum freedom to reconcile culinary aspirations and cooking techniques.
