Country atmospheres for Scavolini

In the south of France, the refurbished Château Capitoul embodies an authentic natural dimension. With a typically Italian touch of design

Surveying the panorama from atop a green hillside, surrounded by vineyards and the Mediterranean atmosphere from the lagoon of Languedoc, the Château Capitoul estate is a refuge outside time and space.

Though it dates back to the 19th century, the complex has been refurbished by Domaine & Demeure (a company specialized in the restoration and enhancement of vineyard estates and underutilized historic buildings) to revive its charm, drawing on local styles and culture. Not far from Narbonne, in southern France, it is immersed in 100 hectares of uncontaminated nature, and now provides the excellent services of a luxury resort.

The restyling ordered by Karl O’Hanlon and Anita Forte has created 8 hotel rooms and 44 independent private villas, ranging in size from 90 to 220 sqm, and large terraces overlooking the surrounding landscape.

The Carattere, Favilla and LiberaMente kitchen collections add a contemporary touch, in total continuity with the styling of the residences. Essential, refined lines for Carattere, an air of familiarity for Favilla, which is traditional and modern at the same time, and the timely classic taste of LiberaMente: offerings that thanks to their variety and complementary characteristics demonstrate the versatile design know-how of Scavolini.
