Videoworks: special effects are guaranteed

Over 700 projects of technological innovation and engineering, with exclusive design and user-friendly solutions, have made Videoworks a leader in the segment of audio-video-IT systems, and in the most advanced areas of automation, lighting design and engineering. For magnificent yachts and prestigious residences

In 1974 they made the first audio/video system for Moneikos, the 40-meter motoryacht built by CRN. Shortly thereafter came the F100, a splendid yacht owned by Gianni Agnelli and designed by Gerhard Gigengast. From that time on, the nautical world has changed. Yacht are no longer just luxurious floating villas, but also technological contexts for the exclusive entertainment of owners and their guests. Together with the shipyards, the force behind this transformation is Videoworks, founded that same years as a division of the Pellegrini Group.

Today Videoworks is an international leader in the design, production and implementation of innovative audio/video, entertainment & home automation systems, for the most exclusive clients in the world of yachting. And there’s more. State of the art outfitting can be installed in private residences, hotels, offices (PWC), universities (Unimi), institutions (Confcommercio), together with projects for art installations in multimedia museums.

Over 700 projects of cutting-edge technology and engineering, with exclusive design and user-friendly solutions, permitting Videoworks Group to become a benchmark in the exclusive Audio-Video-IT sector, with the most innovative solutions for automation, lighting design and engineering.

Let’s take the example of Panam, one of the latest wonders from the Baglietto shipyard: on board it is possible to watch an action film of a sporting event on a large 4K HDR screen with surround sound, to listen to music or to throw a part with a live DJ. The installation offers complete control, from entertainment to lighting, curtains to climate, with a single, intuitive interface, providing access to the Internet and multimedia content.

For the Columbus Sport 50-meter K2 yacht, Videoworks has designed a complex system, ranging from audio/video gear to home automation and video security. Today such systems are one of the main desires of yachtsmen, who with a tablet or smartphone and app can keep all onboard systems under control. Practically a must.

Videoworks operates with a team of experts and professionals in its Italian offices in Ancona (HQ), Milano and Viareggio, as well as in the European facilities of Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, Cagnes-sur-Mer in France, and Fort Lauderdale in the USA. In addition to the fields that have always represented its core business – totally customized systems for audio/video, entertainment, automation, IT and telecommunications – the company has expanded its offerings with solutions that reinvent technical lighting scenarios on large yachts.

The engineers of Videoworks are already working on future implementations, such as the possibility of applying 3D virtual viewing in remote contexts. With a 3D visor, the yachtsman will be able to visit his yacht for a preview of the lighting effects in its spaces. Almost science fiction!
