The sky above us

With the outdoor collection, Meridiani designs a way of life in open-air spaces, in perfect continuity with the rest of the house. Same aesthetic language, same research on forms. Garden and terrace become extensions of the living area

Our way of life in the home shifts more and more towards the outdoors, with terraces, porches, verandas and gardens that become extensions of the interiors. They speak the same aesthetic language, also thanks to research on materials to offer the structures, padding and coverings of outdoor furnishings an unprecedented range of options. Meridiani has developed a series of new ideas, all designed by Andrea Parisio, to explore this habitat dimension.

The collection contains seating of all kinds, as well as cots, large and small tables, and carpets. The materials are noble: fabrics with appealing textures, ready to stand up to sunlight, salt air and chlorine; padding for maximum comfort, and wood varieties that resist weathering. One of the symbolic projects of this outdoor dimension is the Claud Open Air system: versatile, modular and also suitable for indoor use, the system features a structure in iroko wood on which to place thick padded portions with a particularly soft character.

The accessories combine practicality with a sophisticated image. Like the Cone Open Air table, with a base in Ductal® concrete with a soft pale gray finish, and a top in iroko, available in two forms (square or round). Or Bongo Open Air, a low table with an essential form, offered in various sizes and colors, finished in matte lacquer for an ample range of hues. Small functional sculptures with an elegantly minimal spirit.

Zoe Open Air is a family of armchairs plus a settee, all relying on striking combinations of materials. Here the protagonist is a special handwoven polypropylene cord, supported by a structure in coated aluminium. The inspiration comes from the ropes utilized for the mooring of boats. The series has also been developed with the addition of armrests in solid iroko: the name becomes Zoe Wood Open Air.

Joi Open Air is a series of variations of archetypal furnishings: the table and the bench. The base, with inclined legs, is always in solid iroko; the small and large tables have tops in Ductal® concrete, while the seating surface on the bench is padded for exceptional comfort. The Noa Open Air series, like Zoe Open Air, is enhanced by decorative woven cords, this time with a game of linear cushions, smooth or stitched.

A versatile collection of clear, elegant forms. For outdoor living without sacrificing comfort. In an atmosphere of exceptional refinement.
