New developments for the spring at Emu. The company located in Marsciano, in the heart of Umbria, presents its outdoor collection for 2022, composed of highly functional, aesthetically refined and extremely comfortable solutions, and marked by the arrival of new materials for the brand, like the teak that ‘warms up’ a number of products that were previously offered in steel and aluminium.
New items include Tiki by the design duo Lucidi Pevere, a minimal cot with a light silhouette, equipped with minimized mechanisms and an attachment system that enhances the fabric while permitting easy replacement.

Apero by Emu, Design Martin Drechsel
Next comes Apero by Martin Drechsel, a chair with or without armrests and a stool, to reinterpret traditional German wooden seating, reinventing it in metal rod with a wide range of colors.
These models are joined by Holly, a tribute to the iconic S-shaped cot that has become a bestseller for the company. The line includes a chair, a lounge model, a footrest, a low table and a cot for stacking up to eight pieces, with hideaway wheels and sunshield.

Tami by Emu, Design Patrick Norguet
The offerings are completed with the Tami system by Patrick Norguet, with sections in aluminium alloy and stainless steel designed to permit interlocking assembly with the slats of the surface; the staves come in bamboo or WPC, a wood plastic composite made with recycled bamboo fiber, as an eco-sustainable material that stands up to water, weathering and bacteria, easy to clean and 100% recyclable.
The extensions of the range include the introduction of teak combined with aluminium, as in Shine by Arik Levy, or teak together with steel in Lyze by Florent Coirier and Thor by Chiaramonte Marin. Finally, the Star chairs take on a new total aluminium guise, ideal for seaside and seagoing contexts.
Durable, high-tech and sustainable products, the result of know-how developed by the company for over 70 years in the working and protection of metal, a specialization constantly refined through investments in automation, such as robotic islands for welding and finishing. A fully controlled production process inside the plant at Marsciano, where Emu makes over 400,000 articles each year, transforming 2300 tons of raw material, with a staff of 150 people in an area of over 100,000 square meters, of which 50,000 are indoors, alongside the 1000 square meters of the Design & Simulation Center, which drives the operations of cutting-edge research.
