The silent technology of Hitachi

Hitachi Cooling & Heating presents Silent-Iconic, a combination of technology and design for climate control in commercial spaces

Thanks to its balanced blend of aesthetics and design, form and innovation, Silent-Iconic has won the approval of consumers and professionals. Not by chance, Silent-Iconic, the 4-way cassette panel by the Japanese firm Hitachi Cooling & Heating, has won the prestigious Best of the Best – Red Dot Award 2021 for product design, after already winning the iF Design Award 2020 and the Good Design Award 2020.

All these honors constitute official recognition of the product’s excellent design, making it an outstanding exemplar in its category, thanks to the creative input of Tomohiko Sato, Senior Designer in the Hitachi Product Design Department in Tokyo.

Wellbeing, above all else. The four deflectors of Silent-Iconic have been designed to reduce visual impact and to ensure precise air flow control; the exclusive GentleCool function permits gradual temperature adjustment, preventing unpleasant bursts of cool air; the border of just 13 mm and the minimum space between the panel and the ceiling (3 mm) make the unit almost invisible.

The result is a product aimed especially at architects and interior designers seeking aesthetic and functional solutions for climate control in commercial settings, as well as residential consumers (who can make use of the augmented reality service provided by the brand to choose the panel and install it in a virtual setting of the selected room). Silent-Iconic permits maximum coordination with spaces, especially those that aim to optimize the customer experience – showrooms, museums, stores, clinics, restaurants, open-plan offices, hotels – while obtaining maximum technological performance.
