Green Table: design and business to defend the planet

On 20 October, the International Forum on Architecture and Design promoted by Fondazione Guglielmo Giordano returns. Four days of discussion, in which to seek solutions to the major challenges facing the environment

The program is packed with appointments and initiatives, as well as illustrious names. The theme is a true priority on all levels, reflecting the need to find more concrete solutions.

This is the background of the project Green Table, the International Forum on Architecture and Design for the future, which from 20 to 23 October in Perugia brings together outstanding figures in the world of design culture, science, philosophy and economics to talk about the role of design in the pursuit of a harmonious relationship between the human race and the natural world.

A phygital event broadcast in live streaming from Perugia and then from various international cities (HUB360°) – Milan, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Munich and Shanghai – representing districts of production and culture among the most active in the area of sustainability, thanks to the cross-media platform developed by Wyth, accessible from anywhere via web.

The initiative promoted by Fondazione Giordano and Media Eventi in partnership with the National Architecture Institute and the Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (ADI) is organized around four separate theme areas – design, architecture, urbanism and planning – and three parallel levels: a scientific part consisting of the Green Table and its talks (an exchange that will conclude in a proposal of concrete action); a cultural part of performances and events; and a part composed of installations.

The entire program can be seen here.

The trait d’union is the “intention to create a reasoned, aware culture of sustainability through analysis of the main environmental themes on different scales, to design the future of our cities and territories and to offer a platform of encounter for institutions and a community of experts.”

This community and the special guests of this edition include figures from the world of international design like Michele De Lucchi, Patricia Urquiola, Stefano Boeri, Benedetta Tagliabue, Cino Zucchi, Aldo Cibic, Walter De Silva, Matteo Thun, Daria De Seta, Dante Oscar Benini, Alessandro Melis, Guendalina Salimei, Alessandra Battisti, Ico Migliore, Mara Servetto, Monica Alejandra Mellace, Filippo Lodi, Massimo Pica Ciamarra, Luca Zevi, scientists like Stefano Mancuso and Cinzia Chiriacò, and philosophers such as Maurizio Ferraris and Aldo Colonetti.
