Ethimo takes the field with Patrick Norguet

The outdoor furniture maker presents a collection for sports

Playing fields get a new look thanks to the Ace collection designed by Patrick Norguet for Ethimo, a line that takes its name from a winning serve in tennis, for outdoor sports facilities.

“With this ambitious project, we wanted to give a new interpretation to design and comfort, which are all too often overlooked in the context of seating in sports complexes. It is a collection of great quality, composed of highly functional solutions to ‘accompany’ athletes and officials during competitions, ensuring total wellbeing,” says Patrick Norguet. “Ace takes form from the real need to construct an improved sense of comfort for players during international events. With Ethimo we have thus developed a system with a clean, elegant design, to respond to various needs.”

Ace is a contemporary take on the functional furnishings usually place beside a tennis court or a swimming pool, in spaces set aside for athletes, guests and fans. The fulcrum of the collection is a flexible bench that can be configured on the basis of different requirements, and can be completed with accessories such as the surfaces in Black Cork – a natural and 100% ecological material – or the shoe racks, luggage racks or storage units with aluminium bottle holders. For the world of tennis, the bench is joined by a seat for the referee.

The welcoming form of the benches is the result of workmanship that grants a special curvature to teak. The materials are eco-friendly, such as FSC-certified natural teak, and aluminium in a range of four colors: Black Red, Moss Green, Coffee Brown and Warm White.
