Host restarts, along with the HoReCa sector

The October event is back in physical form in October, at Fiera Milano. With many new developments in terms of products, themes, research and networking opportunities

Host is back, not only putting the spotlight on the whole HoReCa industry but also attracting all the Italian and international protagonists within its orbit.
The global equipment hub confirms its “live” version from 22 to 26 October 2021 at the spaces of Fiera Milano: after the last few months spent in behind-the-scenes support for companies and professionals, presenting case histories and market updates, as well as offering digital initiatives like Fiera Milano Platform of which Host has been a part, the time has come for the event to re-ignite the world of hospitality, in a physical exhibition context.

The upcoming edition, number 42, sets out to meet some very high expectations, boosting contents and opportunities, all in total safety thanks to the protocols already put into practice last October. The program has convinced over 1200 exhibitors registered to date hailing from 40 countries, joined by a large assembly of buyers, stakeholders and associations from the most interesting global markets. The foreseeable success is also the result of the simultaneous scheduling of another fair that is a leader in its field, namely TUTTOFOOD, the hub of the food ecosystem.

From novel formats to new developments in the area of professional machinery and equipment, to the latest applications of technology and the Internet of Things, the main innovations in the various value chains of hospitality take their places in three macro-areas at the pavilions in Rho, including Professional Catering Bread Pizza Pasta; Coffee; Coffee Vending Ice Cream Pastry Machines; and Furnishings Technology and Tableware. The phygital experience – so much in vogue over the last year – generates the original platform Mymatching: a virtual space for all those who cannot attend the fair, with open agendas and pre-set appointments with the exhibitors of interest.

The path through these sectors and their related products reveals some hot topics that will shake up the industry and can favor a rapid rebound: first of all, there is a new focus on everything that is sustainable and green, in terms of energy savings and the choice of materials – strictly selected to be recycled; then comes the Internet of Things and its infinite applications, from hotellerie to the functioning of professional equipment; without overlooking the increasing importance of issues of safety, security and hygiene.

Products and inspirations, but also much more. Host also means networking and business. The five-day program features over 800 events in tune with all the macro-areas: there are contests with outstanding chefs, baristas and master creators of desserts, including national and international competitions; along with informative moments of analysis, such as the Digital Talks, with a series of seminars organized in collaboration with POLI.design. The appointment with “Luxury Pastry around the Worldby Iginio Massari is also back, an exclusive concept of interaction between some of the world’s most outstanding interprets of the world of desserts, investigating the latest trends in premium patisserie.

Finally, the SMART Label – Host Innovation Award is a competition open to all innovative companies, organized by Fiera Milano and HostMilano in collaboration with the POLI.Design Consortium of the Milan Polytechnic, with the support of ADI, to honor the most advanced players in the HoReCa world in terms of value and quality.
